MARRIAGE PREPARATION

Meets by arrangement to provide engaged couples planning marriage in the Catholic Church meaningful preparation for married life: To help the couple assess their own readiness for marriage. Offers information and opportunities for discussion to help them make an informed decision. To provide a stimulus for deeper communication and sharing as a couple. Serves couples within the parish and those associated with USM. The Marriage Preparation process is a sequence of events including meeting with the priest, completion of a survey (FOCCUS) and review of results, "When Families Marry." St. Thomas helps prepare many engaged couples who plan to be married elsewhere.
